I walk with a cane and was headed for the first place POSSIBLE to sit down. I purposely picked a seat with noone else around. I was offended to be "scolded" for removing mine as I approached the bar, citing "when walking around". Now - I had just walked in, repeating myself, WITH MASK ON, walked less than 10 feet to sit and order food while NOBODY ELSE had a mask on. In his words, "Everyone must wear a mask when walking around". The bartended DID NOT HAVE ON A MASK until he approached me. I walked at best TEN FEET, pulled my mask down to speak and was scolded by the person at the door AND the bartender for removing my mask. I noticed NOBODY had on masks once inside. I pulled up and noone on the outside patio was wearing a mask. Lastly and I do mean this post to be helpful, a customer appreciation night or two for the loyalist who have and plan to stand by Woof's. On a positive note the wings reamain awesome! Revamp, think about weekend simple brunch. Chicken salad with so much salt and tarragon to make it unpalatable. Need new cooks as everything is overdone. This is the same menu from the Piedmont location. Come up with an updated menu even if it is a bit more expensive. This is not just my opinion but the same of many others. One last thing, I am honestly not trying to pile on but the food has taken a huge nose dive.

If you are to continue in this time of covid you need to have set hours so people can plan their nights accordingly, and not rely on the convince of staff.

Obviously the staff that had been sustained through covid had made their money and were ready to cash out and go home.
WOOFS GAY BAR ATLANTA FULL
Despite that the place was 1/3 full a very terse over the head announcement was placed that it was last call, this was at 9:30! No thank you, have a nice evening, nothing. Fast forward to tonight, 10/11 Sunday night football. As we all navigated this mess I was struck by the number of regulars who went out of their way to order food through the front window and tipping exportionatly to help the well deserving staff. Fast forward to the new location, great spot, sleek open air and more accommodating for socializing. With the work of amazing staff and supportive customers they found their niche. The beginning was slow as any new business is. It was wondered if a "gay sports bar" would make it. I have been a loyal customer since the day they opened on Piedmont Ave, 22yrs.
